About Ardmore, How to Get Here, and Where to Stay, Travel Tips, Schedule, & Maps
Ardmore, OK is the county seat of Carter County, Oklahoma and has a population of approximately 30,000. We service a population of 125,000 therefore we have lovely hotels, restaurants, and stores found usually in larger cities. Ardmore is located almost exactly halfway between Oklahoma City, OK and Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. It is right at 100 miles, about a 2-hour drive to either D/FW or OKC. There are NO airport shuttles nor hotel shuttles, so a rental car is required. We highly recommend attendees joining our Facebook Group “Cowboy Ways Nowadays” to offer sharing transportation and / or hotel rooms. We, the Cowboy Way Jubilee, Useful Art, Oleeta Jean LLC, & Leslei Fisher, personally, claim no liability for this, share at your own risk.
No commercial airlines fly directly into Ardmore (not even puddle jumpers). Here are the three nearest airports are available for commercial flights:
DFW International Airport (DFW)
Will Rogers World Airport (OKC)
We recommend flying into Dallas Love Field via Southwest Airlines whenever possible. It’s the easiest access to the Interstate and well, we have found Southwest Air to be very good corporate citizens. Note: D/FW & Will Rogers Airports are equi-distance to Ardmore, both are right at 100 miles away.
Ardmore Municipal Airport (also called Ardmore Airpark)
620 General Dr., Suite 2, Ardmore, OK 73401
Ardmore Downtown Executive Airport
1315 Lake Murray Dr. S., Ardmore, OK 73401
The only rental car agency located in Ardmore, OK is Enterprise and they have limited cars so we HIGHLY recommend an advance registration if you wish to use them. If you are flying in to Dallas or Oklahoma City, the airports listed above have all the major rental car agencies available, take your pick. Taking Uber or Lyft from any airport is NOT recommended as it is a 2 hour drive, one-way.
–Buses, Taxi Cabs, Uber, Lyft, (etc)
Ardmore is a small town. Transportation other than the personal car is limited. We recommend making reservations in advance. Lyft and Uber are just now starting up in Ardmore so although they are available, do not count on them. We do not make any recommendations for the companies / services listed here with the exception of A-1 Limo Services as we do not have adequate information for these companies. A-1 Limo Services can transport up to 13 passengers at a time making a sharing of their services very affordable. Handicap transportation is available only on weekdays (Monday-Friday) via S.O.R.T.S. (Southern Oklahoma Rural Transportation Service).

The History Meets Hollywood Film Festival is in the Mill Street Garage (it’s air conditioned!) The Cowboy Crossroads (aka vendors) have been moved outside to the Kids’ Korral area in the Paradise Alley Parking Lot. You don’t have to pay to visit the vendors this way!
THIS IS still SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
